Sleep, Bots, Ace, Computer and more...

Ace got up before me the other day, as usual.

He's the punctual one you see. It gets on my nerves once in a while, but I put up with him. I cant get rid of him, he's kinda stuck with me. So I try to put up, with varying success.

Back to him now. So he gets up before me and hogs my computer time.

Bloody idiot.

And not only that he keeps me awake with his perennial questions. Which key to reload the gun? How do I kill the boss on level 23? Why is there a photo of you looking like an idiot on you hidden drive?

WHAT!? Like I said, bloody idiot.

But he today he was in a philosophical mood. I recently got an almost new configuration. 700gigs of space and a new processor, a new ram, and a graphics card. The new system sure came with better specks.

So I got a game to try it out, Company of Heroes.

The game is nice, the features and textures are softer. And my computer can run Winamp at the same time too. I can hear music in the background all the time these days.

That's what ace was telling me about that morning, while I was trying to squeeze in a few more minutes of sleep.

It's faster, and it doesn't crash!

It hasn't crashed yet, I mumbled in half consciousness.

But the start is definitely better, he persisted. I had to agree with him on that. It's not sluggish at all. But then neither was my older configuration. Just that this one feels even faster somehow.

It wrong to compare said the mustache man. He's right, and I'm not comparing. But sometimes it's just these statistics pop into your head.

It's not right to compare, I told ace, all trace of my sleep gone by now.

It's not right. I loved my system every day I had it. I stressed it, cajoled it, praised it, insulted it but through it all I loved it. That I know.

And no matter what system I have, I'll give it everything, and defend it against everything (even if there are a few hijinks's here and there).

And that's when the bots started coming out of all directions. There's good shooting and there's excellent head shot off a sniper without zoom shooting. But at one time the clip gets over and there are no more bullets. That's when it's too late to reload.

GAME OVER.

Real Life or Really Rife?

The contents of this blog are purely fictional and all relation to any person, place or event in real life is purely a freak co-incidence of nature.

The events mentioned herewith could have occurred anywhere. They are common events happening almost simultaneously in many parts of the world.

Get over it ...

Sometimes you fall. It happens. You trip and stumble, you try to catch your step, try to grab on, but you fall.

Sometimes you fall in love, unwilling, kicking, screaming, grabbing. All to no avail. It had to happen, you see. There was a cosmic conspiracy behind it all.

And when you fall, you try to get up. But it hurts, hurts bad.

Here's Simon Pegg describing the stages of 'getting over it' :
